Everybody Loves Sarah. Get it? I used part of the name of a incredibly popular television show and swapped out the titular character’s name with the first name of another comedian– all in order to illustrate that there’s a bidding war going down on Sarah Silverman’s developing network show. That’s the news from Deadline, who’s reporting that ABC, NBC and Fox all are trying desperately to land the comic. Unlike the traditional multi-camera sitcom that was Everybody Loves Raymond, however, this show — based on Silverman’s life — would utilize the more modern single camera effect. The other thing Raymond didn’t have? Support from Hollywood giant and sitcom trailblazer Ron Howard. Deadline says that big man himself has been sitting in on most of the development meetings on behalf of Imagine TV/20th Century Fox, who’s producing the show.
