The last we heard about Lisa Lampanelli’s expected participation in the upcoming Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen, the comedian was a “maybe,” due to a prior commitment. Lisa tells us now it’s official: sadly, she won’t be part of the broadcast. “I’ve been contracted to do a gig in Biloxi and had already moved it once for a TV appearance,” she tells Laughspin, about the Sept. 10 filming date in Los Angeles. “I don’t want to screw over the people who bought the tickets. And the promoters don’t deserve to be screwed over either.” All is not lost, however. Lampanelli promises us that she’ll be live tweeting on Sept. 19, the night Comedy Central premieres the roast. So, there will be no shortage of jokes from the Queen of Mean. We just won’t see her like this:

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane will be handling roast master duties that night; it’ll be the third time he’s snagged the high-profile gig for Comedy Central. “I’m very excited to work with Comedy Central again on the roast,” MacFarlane said. “Charlie is a true icon with a talent that is strong and pure and concentrated into small crystals which can be smoked or eaten.”
