Most of us have been up at 3 am and seen the Trojan “massager” commercial advertising to the ladies. But as New York comedian Mike Cannon says, “women have had a stranglehold on the sex toy market for years.” Until one day, a company invented man’s best sex toy since the right hand: the Fleshlight, more commonly referred to as a “pocket pussy.”
Cannon, along with funny friends Dan Hirshon and Andrew Cunningham, shot a faux commercial (check it out below), in a similar vein to the Tim and Eric vodka movie with Zach Galifianakis, for the male masturbatory aid. They uploaded on Tuesday to Funny Or Die where they were trending most of the day. They even earned a shout out from the official Fleshlight blog and Twitter account (@fleshlight).
This is not the first time Cannon has caught the company’s eye. Back in May, he posted a three and a half minute stand-up set on the Fleshlight and Tweeted the video to them (check it out below). They instantly retweeted it and made him the unofficial spokesman for the Fleshlight by putting him at the top of the product’s secretly well-followed blog. They even sent him a free Fleshlight (which makes a cameo in the commercial). “They sent me the Stamina Package, as if to say, ‘This is also for your girlfriend,’” said Cannon. In the litigious society that we live in today, where brand managers and companies take themselves way too seriously, it is a relief to see a product able to laugh at itself.
There may be more commercials in the works, so if you’re not sold on the Fleshlight after watching this video, stay tuned, since after finally using one Cannon said, “I believe these should be required for boys in high school.”
