To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of Nirvana’s seminal album Nevermind, Jon Stewart will host a Q &A session with the two remaining band members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic along with Butch Vig, the producer behind the album. The two-hour session — to be aired on Sirius XM on Sept. 24 — will also incorporate questions from fans. Additionally, the satellite radio provider will feature an all-Nirvana channel called Nevermind Radio from Sept. 23 through Sept. 28.
Unless you’ve been living in a cave or perhaps with the Amish for the past two decades you know that Kurt Cobain, the former lead singer of Nirvana, killed himself in 1994. Grohl has since become the front man for the wildly popular band Foo Fighters. The choice for comedian Stewart to host makes perfect sense, since Grohl has been a longtime friend of The Daily Show, having popped up for interviews over the years and performing with the Foo Fighters. Let’s check out a few of those appearances below, the first of which is from 2001!
