I don’t think I have to explain why I’m bummed Arrested Development is off the air – you all get it. It’s such a loss in the TV comedy world. But easing the pain of the Bluth family-sized hole in my life is the fact that most of the stars on the show have gone on to do hilarious and wonderful other projects. And, you know, the Arrested Development movie, will maybe sometime happen.
One member of the cast who’s done some fascinating things in the comedy world is David Cross, who recently had a stint on Running Wilde and is currently starring in The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, both alongside AD alumnus Will Arnett. And now, the Hollywood Reporter tells that Cross will be joining the cast of ABC’s Modern Family as a city councilman named Duane. Perhaps he’ll be embroiled in a political scandal about being a never-nude. One can hope. One can hope.
