Watch Jimmy Kimmel break down during his moving Uncle Frank tribute

On his show last night, Jimmy Kimmel introduced a video tribute to Uncle Frank, through tears and a smile– and the tribute carried that tone throughout. Kimmel’s monologue featured footage of Frank Potenza’s humorous interviews with the likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Kermit the Frog, and other notable celebrities– mixed with sketches and photos of Frank’s youth. Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” played over the retrospective, and further underlined the story of a retired New York City police officer who became an unlikely highlight of the late night world during the last eight years of his life. Uncle Frank died of cancer on Aug. 23 in Los Angeles. He was 77. Check out Jimmy’s tribute below.
