Although Saturday Night Live honcho Lorne Michaels announced earlier this year that there would be no new cast hires at the iconic sketch show, we’re now hearing that maybe that’s not the case. New York comedy scene blog The Apiary is reporting that Broadway actress Mary Faber, who starred in Green Day’s American Idiot (see photo above), is being considered for the show.
“I heard a hot rumor that Broadway star Mary Faber tested for Saturday Night Live recently and is being considered for a spot on the show,” The Apiary reports. “She currently sings and dances opposite Daniel Radcliffe in How to Succeed [in Business Without Really Trying] and has studied improv at both The PIT and UCB.”
You can check out Faber’s audition video — complete with an intro featuring Harry Potter, himself — below. For the full story, head on over to The Apiary.
