Meeting a significant other’s parents can be awkward, to say the least. That probably explains why entire comedy movie franchises have emerged from that very premise, perhaps the most well-known of which these days being the aptly-titled Meet the Parents series. They’re the kind of movies that can inspire physical pain as well as cringing.
Get ready, guys, because a new video in the Ted and Gracie series, starring comedians Jena Friedman and Ben Kronberg, takes the awkward cake. It might even be more awkward than that moment when you’re walking down the street and someone else walks right up to you, and you try to step around each other but keep going in the same direction and then you end up doing this horrible dance in the middle of the street. Anyway! As creepy and awkward as it is, the video, entitled “The Parents,” is pretty damn funny. So sit back, enjoy, and be thankful that you’re not one of Gracie’s parents.
