Gird your loins, people! But loosen up your laugh reflex, because Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time, the hit Comedy Central sketch series from stand-up’s favorite bad boy, is making its triumphant second season debut on Oct. 5. Returning for more Swardson-izing are the breakout characters of last year’s outstanding season, including Lady Gaga’s would-be successor brother, beleaguered policeman Garry Gaga. (No official word from Gay Robot’s camp yet, but we hear it’s probably not happening). Check out the fun at 10:30 ET following the season premiere of South Park.

Wait, wait. Hold on. Itching for a shot of Swardson that just can’t wait two weeks? No sweat: we’ve got you clip covered with this first look at the new season. You. Are. Welcome.

Good thing he has TV, because there’s no way Sandler’s going to sign off on another dismal comedy in theaters that came in 7th on opening weekend.

jesus effin christ. how the hell did this show get a second season???

the first season was by far the worst sketch show in the history of television. from the looks of it mr swardson has lowered the bar even more, which i thought was impossible. that alien sketch should’ve never made it past the writer’s pitch meeting. seriously, the writers get paid boatloads of money each week and this was one of the best sketches they came up with. pathetic. i mean how many sketches can they revolve around humorless penis jokes??? apparently they must be going for a world record.

the worst part is that i know comedy central gets pitched great sketch show ideas every week and yet they choose one of the worst ones to put on the air. just goes to show that hollywood isn’t about talent or great ideas. it’s only about nepotism. without adam sandler pulling the strings nick swardson would be a second-rate road comic, which is where he belongs.

I can’t tell if this article is serious or not. There’s no way it isn’t just dripping with sarcasm right?
