When Kevin Smith hits the stage tonight in Austin, the cameras will be rolling for a live taping to be aired on EPIX, the cross-platform entertainment company announced today, just hours before the filmmaker begins his performance.

The show, titled Burn in Hell, will be Smith’s second for EPIX. His first, Too Fat To Fly premiered on the network in October of last year. His show, which combines storytelling, jokes and his trademark long-form question and answer period, will be available early next year to view on EPIX and as well as On-Demand and mobile devices.

“EPIX subscribers love Kevin Smith and we are happy to be working with Kevin again to connect him with his large and passionate fan base on television and online,” said EPIX CEO Mark Greenberg. EPIX already boasts an impressive roster of comedians and comedy specials, including Lewis Black, Louis C.K., David Cross, Janeane Garafalo and Craig Ferguson.
