Way back in July, we introduced you to 20-year-old college student Allie Goertz, who wrote, performed and uploaded her song “Comedians” to YouTube. You can watch it here. In short, it was a tribute to all her fave contemporary comedians. “I was spoon fed a lot of my comedic interest by my dad, Allison told me at the time. “I grew up on old SNL, George Carlin, Dr. Demento, Seinfeld, Woody Allen, and the Marx Brothers. My interest in comedy has only grown through the years since its become more and more accessible.”

Well, since July, she’s continued to hone her craft. The proof? This new song and video with the title “Good Kid,” which is an ode to Freaks and Geeks character Sam Weir, who was played by John Francis Daley. Comedy nerds know that the critically acclaimed Paul Feig-created show was canned after its one season (1999-2000). We even featured it in our list Premature Cancellation: 10 Comedy Shows That Left The World Too Soon. Anyway, here’s Allie’s ode. Tell us what you think in the comments section.
