South Park returns to Comedy Central on Wednesday (10 pm ET) with an all new episode. This one is called “Ass Bergers,” and is described by the network like this: “Cartman finds a unique way of coping with Asperger’s Syndrome. Even Kyle and Kenny are on board. Meanwhile, Stan can’t seem to get his life back to normal no matter what he tries. Will anything ever be the same in South Park again?”
I can’t imagine this episode won’t draw a hefty dose of criticism from the medical world as well as from professional behaviorists who deal with cases of Asperger’s. The question will be, however, will those people really have something to complain about? I have a feeling Trey Parker and Matt Stone will, as they usually do, find a way to attack the folks that need to be attacked and not the victims. We shall see. For now, check out this wee preview.
