NBC’s hit comedy 30 Rock is known not only for ushering in some of the most original scripts in primetime history — thank you, Tina Fey! — but also for having lots of fun with its guest stars. And although we’re totally hankering for some Liz Lemon about now (remember, the season was pushed to midseason because of Fey’s second pregnancy), at least we’re starting to get some info about the upcoming episodes.

Denise Richards just tweeted that she’ll be appearing on the show when it returns in a few months. And we confirmed the news with NBC. “So excited!! I’m going to be doing an episode of #30Rock! one of my favorite shows!!!!!” If the word “excited” and the FIVE exclamation marks are any indication, it seems Denise is happy about her assignment. And she should be. She’ll be joining the 30 Rock guest star ranks with the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Matt Damon, Jennifer Aniston, Conan O’Brien and Julianne Moore. There’s no news as to whether Richards will be playing herself — as some guest stars have — of if she’ll be playing one of the show’s quirky pop-in characters.

You may have caught Denise in Spike TV’s sports comedy series Blue Mountain State. You get a grasp of what she does on that show below.
