Over the weekend at New York Comic Con, Portlandia star Fred Armisen shared with an audience of crazy-ass costumed geeks an exclusive clip from the upcoming second season. Meet the Sanitation Twins, and your new rainbow of recycling receptacles that will receive your discarded lotion (and lotion bottles), fingernail clippings, trophies, broken umbrellas, and broken hearts, and change them into clean air and good vibes.
Season 2 of Portlandia premieres in January on IFC. My money’s on “lipstick lids, rose!” as the first catchphrase of the season. I can’t wait for Fred and Carrie to return and continue their campaign of taking the piss out of twee. I’m saving all my fingernails in a tiny chartreuse bin for the occasion.
