After a three-network bidding war, ABC has landed a deal to produce a half-hour comedy starring singer and actress Mandy Moore. The single camera family comedy will be written by Wedding Crashers co-writer Bob Fisher and is said to, “explore the inherent conflict between the families we grow up in and the families we make. It’s told through the lens of a young, newlywed couple,” according to Deadline.
The comedy will be a first as a series regular for Moore, who is famous for her early singing career and for feature films such as A Walk to Remember and Saved! She does have some TV credits as well; she’s guested on Entourage, Scrubs, and How I Met Your Mother.
