Jim Gaffigan, he who continues to sell out large theaters across the country and otherwise prove his versatility — Broadway, anyone? — just might extend his reach in the comedy world even more. NBC has purchased a single-camera comedy from the man, Deadline reports. And by all accounts, it’s looking to be a biographical show centered around a lazy guy (which Gaffigan clearly admits he is) married to a strong woman (which he is: Jeannie Noth is his writing partner and a producer) who has given birth to four children (which Jeannie has).
Gaffigan, who earlier this year made his Broadway debut in That Championship Season opposite Brian Cox, Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric and Chris Noth, is set to star and write the as-of-yet untitled show.
