A great many of you have been e-mailing us asking about the health status of comedian Ralphie May ever since Team Ralphie, yesterday, tweeted about him contracting pneumonia. A rep for May tells us today: “He has developed pneumonia and is now in a hospital in Tampa. He’s had to cancel some dates, but he’s being cared for by a great team of doctors, so he should be back on the road in no time. It’s really nice that people are writing to you with their concern. He’s going to be fine.”

After we talked to Ralphie’s team, he tweeted the following: “Hey kids I have two types of pneumonia and it caused a blood clot to go into my lungs I was close to death.”

We’re super happy to hear he’s doing well. Get better, funny man!
