If you’re old enough, you might remember accidentally watching Johnny Depp’s first big Hollywood gig each week on the old television when you were like 10 or 11 years old. It was a crime/drama called 21 Jump Street about a group of undercover cops who infiltrate high schools. And it was kind of funny– but not on purpose. But now, people that control movies have made a totally on-purpose funny version of the 1980s show.
How do I know it’s funny on purpose? Well, it stars Jonah Hill (funny) and Channing Tatum, who’s not so funny. But look at who else is in this thing. In addition to Hill, in the just-released red band trailer below, you can spot funny people Rob Riggle, Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Ellie Kemper from The Office and Ice Cube (kind of funny). The movie opens nationwide on March 16. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think. Will you lay your money down for 21 Jump Street?
