Louis C.K. to offer new comedy special on his official site, exclusively

Louis C.K. is recording his next hour-long special on Nov. 10 at the Beacon Theater in New York City. But like most other things he does in the comedy industry, he’s doing it on his own terms. Check it out. During his appearance on Conan tonight, he announced that the special will be available only on his official website louisck.net. There will be no huge premiere on Comedy Central or HBO or Showtime and no access on Netflix or any other Video On Demand service. Starting Dec. 10, you can view the special on C.K.’s site for the price of $5 through PayPal. C.K. just wanted to make sure he made enough money to cover the cost of production; ticket sales will go toward that.

$5 is a good price. If just 200,000 people buy it, that’s still a well deserved million dollars for Mr. CK, I think he’ll reach that number easily. I’ll definitely be getting it.
