Patton Oswalt, Kristen Schaal explain their bizarre Adult Swim series, “The Heart, She Holler”

Remember when Adult Swim released a sizzle reel for his their new series The Heart, She Holler — starring Patton Oswalt — and how many that watched, though enthralled, echoed a “WTF?” around the Internet?

After screening the whole series at the Silent Movie Theater in Los Angeles,  Oswalt and Kristen Schaal chatted with LA Weekly to give a better explanation as to what exactly is happening in the six-episode miniseries. Taking cues from overly dramatic soap operas then adding several dashes of cult indie director David Lynch, Heart, She aims to live up to the tagline, “a soap opera for folks that ain’t never used soap or seen an opera.” With Oswalt being appointed as mayor after living in a cave his entire life while his two sisters played by Schaal and Heather Lawless try to usurp him through manipulative and unholy means, there should be no doubt that the series will do so– live up to that absurd tagline, that is.

The Heart, She Holler premiered last night on Adult Swim and will run for six days at 12:30 am ET each night.

This is a great show coming right inline with nothing on the Cartoon Network after 11 P.M makes sense.

    I love it!
