Unless you have some serious denial issues, you’ve undoubtedly seen at least one of the many viral videos and/or television commercials or trailers promoting the upcoming release of The Muppets, the live-action motion picture starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams. But what you haven’t seen is this vintage video, wherein famous Muppet posse member Fozzie Bear attempts stand-up comedy at the world-famous Comedy Store in Hollywood.
The clip you’re about to watch — Will Fozzie kill? Will Fozzie bomb? — was part of a segment called “Miss Piggy’s Hollywood,” which, itself was a part of The Jim Henson Hour, the ill-fated Muppet Show spinoff. It first aired on May 14, 1989. Ok, enough exposition. Let’s get to the video!
