It’s hard to believe the Occupy Wall Street movement is almost two months old now (aww, it’s growing up so fast!). And I’m sure we’ve all heard these slogans about “This is what democracy looks like” and “We are the 99 percent,” but let me ask you this: who has the backs of the 1 percent? They’re getting pummeled!

Here’s one answer. Garfunkel and Oates released a new video called “Save the Rich,” which rightfully points to how we need to keep bonuses tax free and preserve tax loopholes and exemptions. Take a look below, and just remember: it’s not Wall Street’s fault if you can’t get what you need.

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn. You cannot build character and courage by destroying men’s initiative and independence. And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they can and should do for themselves.

That was a lot of blanket statements with no backing argument.

    “GO FUCK YOURSELF DETROIT!”

Ladies, please, that’s not the way to get to play a rape ‘n’ murder victim in an Eminem video after he samples your song!
