Come January, Comedy Central will premiere its newest sketch comedy series, Key & Peele, starring a pair of some of the most talented dudes to come out of Fox’s MadTV– Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. The show will feature filmed sketches (obviously) as well as live segments from stage in front of an audience; this seems to be the network’s sketch formula (see Chappelle’s Show and Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time).

According to the folks at the network, the show will also play off the duo’s real-life friendship. “It will showcase their chemistry, camaraderie and unique point of view, born from their shared background and experiences growing up biracial in a not quite post-racial world.”

Super cool side note: Musical comedian, world-class improviser Reggie Watts will be performing the show’s theme song!

And you can get a first look at the show below. It’s just a small taste, but let us know what you think!

Oh, and if you’ve never seen this sketch from MadTV featuring Key and Peele, you should check it out now. It’s an incredible example of how well these two work together and how physically talented and hilarious they could be.
