It doesn’t take a seasoned Hollywood analyst to know that 2012 is going to be a big year for Jason Segel. The comedic actor and writer is currently riding the wave of The Muppets success. And in the first quarter of next year he’ll be co-headlining The Five-Year Engagement with Emily Blunt.
Produced by Judd Apatow – officially, Apatow Productions – and written by Segel and Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets, Get Him to the Greek), the flick follows the changing relationship of a newly-engaged couple. You should also know that the movie will feature a great amount of your favorite stand-up comedians and television comedy stars.
Alison Brie from Community, Chris Pratt from Parks and Recreation, stand-up giant Kevin Hart, Mindy Kaling from The Office, everyone’s favorite metal nerd comedian Brian Posehn and Chris Parnell of SNL fame and now Archer all have roles in The Five-Year Engagement.
