FX announced that it’s renewing the fantasy sports-themed comedy series, The League, for a fourth season. Considering that the impending stoppage of the NFL threatened to change the entire dynamic of the series a few months ago, The League has really shown a great level of consistency– not to mention having some of the funniest people in comedy just now breaking into the big time: Nick Kroll, Steve Rannazzisi, Paul Scheer and more.
The network has proven once again that its got a real commitment to breaking new, progressive comedy series; see It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Louie and Wilfred– not to mention, cringe-worthy comedian and pro storyteller Jim Jeffries is developing his own FX series.
