FX announced that it’s renewing the fantasy sports-themed comedy series, The League, for a fourth season. Considering that the impending stoppage of the NFL threatened to change the entire dynamic of the series a few months ago, The League has really shown a great level of consistency– not to mention having some of the funniest people in comedy just now breaking into the big time: Nick Kroll, Steve Rannazzisi, Paul Scheer and more.

The network has proven once again that its got a real commitment to breaking new, progressive comedy series; see It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Louie and Wilfred– not to mention, cringe-worthy comedian and pro storyteller Jim Jeffries is developing his own FX series.

Starting and continually running the Comedy Bureau, a voice for LA comedy, by himself, he also writes and performs stand-up comedy in LA and watches more live comedy than is probably humanly tolerable. He's been a daily contributor to Punchline Magazine, now Laughspin.com because he loves and believes in comedy so much. Said of Kroeger, "...without his dangerously insane, unhealthy work ethic, certain comics would not have any press at all."
