If you’re excited that In Living Color is coming back to Fox, just wait until you hear this. Did you wait? OK, maybe you didn’t wait, but we’ll just let you in on this: In Living Color is going to have open casting calls in Chicago.
On Dec. 20, the newly opened Laugh Factory in Chicago will be holding auditions from 11 am to 3 pm. Laugh Factory owner Jamie Masada, who apparently was involved in the casting of the original version of the sketch comedy series, is working with Fox to find talent that isn’t represented or can’t afford to travel to LA to be seen. Subsequently, a plane ticket will be the prize to anyone chosen to be seen by network execs. The show is coming back to the network this Spring for two special 30-minute episodes (read our opinion on that here).
It will definitely be intriguing to see who, if anyone, Fox finds from this open call considering they picked their last, now defunct sketch series, In the Flow with Affion Crocket, basically from the Internet.
