It’ll be weeks before we get to see new episodes of Parks and Recreation. But the folks at NBC know how to keep our interest in the meantime. Or, they know how to keep my interest, anyway. They’ve put together a best-of reel of Aubrey Plaza’s finest moments throughout her time on the show, playing my favorite deadpan character on television today– April Ludgate. “My mom’s Puerto Rican. That’s why I’m so lively and colorful,” April explains. She’s the anti-Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari), who, relies on volume and hyper-animation to get laughs (not unlike his real-life stand-up persona).
Without further exposition, please enjoy Aubrey Plaza. You are welcome!
