Poll: Would you pay money to watch a Bridesmaids sequel without Kristen Wiig?

When a comedy flick costs $32 million to make and then grosses $288 million worldwide, it’s a given: you make a sequel– no matter how flimsy the thematic reasoning may be. So, it’s no surprise that Universal is working on a sequel to the wildly successful Bridesmaids. But here’s the thing. Kristen Wiig told the Hollywood Reporter recently that she has no interest in reprising her starring role in a second version of Bridesmaids. And a rep for Universal has said, “We are over the moon with the success of Bridesmaids, and if we do a sequel we want to get it right. We are talking to filmmakers now about concepts, and if the right one emerges, we’ll move forward.” So the big question is…

Would you pay money to see a Bridesmaids sequel without Kristen Wiig?

I’d definitely rather she be involved, possibly writing? But I would see another Bridesmaids movie regardless.

i would if she was involved in the writing and creation of it, but i hope its not some bull like hangover two where they remade the same movie again. I like that the movie was about women feeling inadequate around someone elses perceived success in life and having to look and deal with there own. what makes the movie wasn’t the fact that they were bridesmaids and i feel that the ppl making the sequel wont recognize that.

Bridesmaids had several funny cast members. Wiig is obviously one of the most funny but she didn’t carry the movie by herself.
