Old people say the darndest things, don’t they? “Get my medicine, I’m dying.” “My grandson is so handsome.” “Help me, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” We’ve heard it all before. But we think you’d agree that ye olde peeps are at their best when they engage in hateful, racist and xenophobic rants.

At a recent town hall meeting, hosted by presidential hopeful Rick Santorum, one aged lady had a lot to say about Barack Obama’s “illegal” presidency and the “fact” that he’s an “avowed Muslim” and other fun stuff. The thing is, Santorum never corrected this lovely gal; people got angry about that. Later, Santorum explained on a morning chat show why he didn’t correct her. In short, she was old and feeble and he wasn’t about to tell the old bat she was wrong. And crazy.

So, on last night’s Colbert Report, Stephen addressed the issue in his own special way. Check it below.
