She’s only 32, but Zooey Deschanel has been entertaining comedy fans since 1999 (Mumford, anyone?). Her profile, however, has never been higher than it is now, seeing as she’s the star of Fox’s well-rated and critically-acclaimed New Girl and is hosting Saturday Night Live tomorrow night (see video below). She’s even on this month’s cover of Allure.
As is the case in Hollywood, a higher profile means closer examination. For Deschanel, it has seemingly been a great ride– the term “a-DORK-able” has been used over and over again to describe not only her New Girl character Jess, but also Deschanel in real life.
