Only three episodes in to its much-publicized debut season, the sketch show Key & Peele has already been picked up for a second season, which will debut later this year.
“Because Key & Peele has been so immediately and universally well received, I was worried if we didn’t give the show a quick pick up, people might accuse me of being racist,” said Kent Alterman, Head of Original Programming and Production at Comedy Central. The stars of the sketch show, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, are sure to be excited by the immediate success and overwhelming love for their baby.
“We are honored, humbled and most importantly contractually obligated to deliver a second season to Comedy Central,” said the sketch team in a statement. The announcement comes days after Nick Swardson announced that his sketch show Pretend Time, after running for two seasons on Comedy Central, will bot be returning. Key & Peele airs Tuesdays at 10:30 pm ET. For now, let’s check out a clip from last night’s show!
