Louis C.K. will become the first comedian ever to perform at the independent music festival I’ll Be Your Mirror, produced by All Tomorrow’s Parties. Scheduled to hit iconic music town Asbury Park, NJ between Sept. 21 – 23, C.K. will perform alongside The Roots, the Mark Lanegan Band, Hot Snakes and many others.

C.K. was handpicked by Afghan Whigs frontman Greg Dulli; his band will be headlining the event after a 13-year-hiatus. As is the case with every ATP music fest, many of the acts chosen to perform are curated by influential bands and musicians. This year, the honor went to Dulli. And Dulli, like most of America, must be a huge Louis C.K. fan. There will be a dedicated comedy stage on Sept. 21, so we’re expecting to hear a few more comedian announcements.

“All Tomorrow’s Parties is an organization based in London that has been promoting festivals, concerts and records throughout the world for over 10 years,” according to the festival’s official site. ATP also boasts that their events are always intimate (compared to festival standards), non-corporate and incredibly diverse. C.K. should have no problem fitting in to the fest’s DIY aesthetic.
