FX’s hit animated series Archer has been renewed for a fourth season. The spy parody show, centered around the fictitious International Secret Intelligence Service, has been averaging 3.3 million viewers each week. If you need a frame of reference, that’s slightly better than what 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation score– and those are prime time shows on a major network. The renewal is for 13 new episodes of Archer.
“It was an easy decision to order more Archer,” said Nick Grad, FX’s Executive Vice President of original programming “[Executive producers] Adam [Reed], Matt [Thompson], and our amazing voice cast are delivering one of the funniest and smartest shows on television.” Reed and Thompson also inked an overall deal that would keep them at the network to not just work on Archer but would also enable the duo to work on other projects, Deadline reports.
Archer stars H. Jon Benjamin as the title character, along with Aisha Tyler, Chris Parnell, Judy Greer, Jessica Walter and Amber Nash. It airs on FX every Thursday at 10:30 pm ET. So, let’s check out a clip from the show, because embedding videos is totally easy.
