Do you feel like your life is lacking Gwenyth Paltrow? Or Ryan Murphy productions? Fear no more. The Glee creator just signed a deal to create a new musical comedy starring Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Beyonce, Andy Samberg and Reese Witherspoon called One Hit Wonders. It will center around three 1990s pop stars whose careers have gone down the drain, and decide to join forces as a super group. Samberg and the rest of his Grammy-nominated musical comedy trio the Lonely Island are expected to pen most of the music, Deadline reports.
It’s been reported that Sony Pictures chief Amy Pascal bought the concept for seven figures after only hearing 10 minutes of the pitch from Murphy. Of course, none of this has been made yet, and likely won’t for a while; but I’m going to use this as a platform to officially ask for a position as a PA on the set once shooting begins (in like four years).
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m stoked. Murphy always brings his A-game (if you choose to forget that Eat, Pray, Love was his fault), and I would watch Andy Samberg eating ribs. Or napping. Or pretty much doing anything.
