With the likely departure of Kristen Wigg and Abby Elliot’s status unknown after being let go from a FOX sitcom, Lorne Michaels is in need of securing a few funny ladies to round out the cast of Saturday Night Live.
During the past few weeks, the brass at the iconic sketch show have been testing new performers with the possibility of joining the cast. According to Deadline, the following four ladies were some of the lucky ones who auditioned: Kate McKinnon (The Big Gay Sketch Show), Jessica Joy (The Playboy Club), Lauren Lapkus (Are You There, Chelsea) and Elaine Carroll (Very Mary-Kate).

But it looks like Upright Citizen Brigade performer Kate McKinnon has scored the gig and she’ll make her debut as early as next Saturday’s show, hosted by Sofia Vergara. Let’s check out McKinnon in action below!
