David Letterman and Craig Ferguson are here to stay, comedy fans! At least through 2014, anyway. CBS just re-upped the two late night favorites for at least two more years on the network.
This means, unless something totally unexpected occurs, The Late Show host will break the record for longest-running late-night talk show host; he’s currently just about tied with Johnny Carson at 30 years. For Ferguson and The Late Late Show, the deal means he’s moving to a larger stage at CBS Television City in Los Angeles. Letterman, of course, will remain firmly planted at the Ed Sullivan Theater in Midtown Manhattan.
Congrats to both Letterman and Ferguson!
