Known for his diverse treatment of socio-political issues, comedian, actor and humorist Jimmy Tingle is set to debut a six-month run of his one-man show Jimmy Tingle for President: The Funniest Campaign in History, on April 18 at 7 pm at Carolines on Broadway in New York City. The show will then run at Carolines on May 23, June 20, July 18, Aug. 22, Sept. 19 and Oct. 24. You can purchase tickets here.
The April 18 show will open with a screening of Jimmy Tingle’s American Dream, which won the award for Best Documentary at last year’s Independent Film Quarterly Film and New Media Festival and features interviews with Lewis Black, Mort Sahl, Janeane Garofalo, Al Franken and many more.
In the live show, Tingle uses pointed humor to address the most crucial issues the next president – whoever it may be – will be forced to deal with, like immigration, jobs, national debt and alternative energy. You can peep a quick taste of the show below.
