By now you know that Netflix will be unleashing the new season of Arrested Development early next year. We know, we know. Hooray, indeed! But, what we just learned is that the entire season — all 10 episodes — will drop on the streaming video service all at once. The date of said dropping has yet to be determined.
The announcement was made yesterday at the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas. Netflix honcho Ted Sarandos also confirmed that production will begin this summer. And, although it wasn’t mentioned, the movie version of Arrested Development seems to still be in the works; its release would follow the conclusion of the show’s fourth season on Netflix. Show creator Mitch Hurwitz also mentioned he’d be up for seasons five and six!
Vulture has a a super thorough recap of what went down in Vegas yesterday. You should check it out.
