After the cancellation of his late-night chat show Lopez Tonight on TBS, comedian George Lopez is scheduled to make his return to the small screen– this time, as the host of a new dating show on Fox called Take Me Out.
The game show is based on the Australian show Taken Out, where an eligible bachelor is introduced to 30 single ladies. The game consists of four rounds in front of a studio audience. Each week, viewers tune in to see intimate one-on-one dates between contestants, facilitated by Lopez. At the end of each date, female contestants decide whether to “keep their light on” or “off” depending on how well the date went.
“I am thrilled to be hosting such an entertaining new series,” Lopez said. “Anything can happen on a show like Take Me Out, and I’m looking forward to the excitement.”
