She has nearly 340,000 Twitter followers and some serious heat behind her. Kelly Oxford’s latest comedy triumph is a big one: she just landed a deal with Warner Bros. selling her spec script called Son Of A Bitch, for low to mid six figures, according to Deadline. The story follows a young female pot head who tries to maintain her popular, party-girl image after discovering she’s pregnant. Oxford has also sold pilot television scripts to CBS and NBC. Oxford writes on her Tumblr, “Wrote [Son Of A Bitch] a few weeks after NBC passed on my pilot in Feb. Thanks NBC.” Her book of humorous essays entitled Everything Is Perfect When You’re A Liar will be published by Harper Collins in October.
