Although we don’t know yet if her NBC sitcom Whitney will be returning in the Fall, comedian Whitney Cummings will have at least one weekly onscreen gig. E! just announced that her new talk show Love You, Mean It with Whitney Cummings will premiere later this year alongside Joel McHale mainstay The Soup.
Cummings’ new show will find the comedian dishing out her opinions on pop culture, celebrity gossip, relationships and sex. The show will feature celebrity guests, Cummings’ laptop and a sidekick in comedian Julian McCullough. Says Cummings,“This show gives me a chance to get back to my stand-up roots, and I’m really excited to be able to say (almost) whatever I’d like on TV again. So thanks, E!” Chelsea Handler is producing the show along with Cummings, Tom Brunelle and Brad Wollack.
Cummings got her big television break as a regular round table guest on Handler’s talk show, Chelsea Lately. She since went on to co-create and produce the CBS hit 2 Broke Girls and has her own hour stand-up comedy special for Comedy Central titled Money Shot.
