If memory serves correctly, the last time we saw comedian Jim Breuer embedded in a national ad campaign, it was for Pizza Hut. Well, now the longtime funnyman has turned his focus to coffee– 8 O’Clock Coffee to be precise. The brand has been around since 1859, but they’re obviously looking to modernize their marketing efforts and draw in younger drinkers.
The campaign kicked off this morning with a video that finds Breuer and Takeru Kobayashi (aka Kobayashi; aka international competitive eating champ) at the coffee brand’s headquarters sampling a few roasts in the cupping room. What’s a cupping room? We’ll let the video speak for itself.
