The Webby Awards — honoring the best online content — broadcasted live from New York City on Monday, and if you’re a comedy fan who doesn’t have a god-awful Internet connection that is constantly booting you off instant messenger and only allows you to download PDFs at a slug’s pace then you probably caught some of it before you gave up on the stream because it wouldn’t stop buffering. From those of us in the city, thanks, Time Warner! And no, putting foil on my router’s antennae didn’t help.
So, without further ado, here’s a round up of some of our favorite comedians at the Webby Awards. Patton Oswalt did such an awesome job hosting, a few people, in fact, including Juliette Lewis want to see him host the Oscars. But she also wants to see him host a car expo… Admittedly, it’s a big step (the Oscars, not the expo) and we need more people to get on board. For now, it’ll just have to be a comedy nerd’s sweet, sweet fantasy.
Check out Louis C.K. (who was there to accept the Webby Person of the Year award), Jason Sudeikis, John Hodgman, Justin Long, Jim Gaffigan and more of our favorites at the Webbys below.
