Actress, writer and director Sarah Polley’s new film Take This Waltz, which features Sarah Silverman, Seth Rogen and Michelle Williams, is available through Video On Demand starting tomorrow.
The dark comedy stars Williams as Margot, a freelance writer who strikes up a relationship with her neighbor Daniel (Luke Kirby), while still in the fifth year of her lukewarm marriage to cookbook writer Lou (Seth Rogen). Silverman co-stars as Rogen’s sister Geraldine, who is a recovering alcoholic. The film has been screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, The Vancouver International Film Festival and Tribeca, among others, to generally positive reviews. And of course, probably the most talked about tidbit of the film (at least among the comedy community) is Silverman’s full frontal nude scene, of which Sarah begs, “please lower your expectations.” Check out the trailer below.
