What’s Fred Armisen doing with the very serious videos you’re sending him?

Portlandia and Saturday Night Live‘s Fred Armisen needs your help with a project. First thing you’re going to need to do is wipe the smile off of your face and be serious for 30 seconds.

Fred calls for user-submitted videos for his Be Serious For 30 Seconds project, and lays out some ground rules. Just make a video of yourself or one other person (no more) being serious for 30 seconds or less. Also, you must include a dramatic five-second pause, a cutaway to an inanimate object, and end with a door slamming. Fred explains it all (minus what he actually plans to do with your videos) and even includes his own example featuring Portlandia co-creator and co-star Carrie Brownstein!
