Legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld will guest star on an upcoming episode of Louis C.K.’s Emmy-winning FX show Louie. When Chris Rock answered his phone today during a press junket for Madagascar 3 (in which he stars), the comedian let it slip that he was talking with his friend Seinfeld, who was currently on the set of Louie in New York City, reports Hollywood.com.
Seinfeld joins Artie Lange and Marc Maron, two other comedians who have already shot scenes for Louie‘s third season, which premieres June 28 at 10:30 pm EST. Maron, I’m told, will be playing himself, and I assume that Lange and Seinfeld will play themselves, as well– or, a slightly fictionalized version of themselves– sort of in the vein of Doug Stanhope, who played a comedian last season with strikingly similar proclivities as the real-life Stanhope.
Past Louie guest stars include Rock, Dane Cook, Ricky Gervais, and Joan Rivers.
