Steve Martin’s television specials and stand-up comedy sets from the late 70′s and early 80′s are coming to DVD! Check it out: On Location: Steve Martin as well as vintage NBC Specials Steve Martin: A Wild An Crazy Guy, Steve Martin: Comedy Is Not Pretty, All Commercials… A Steve Martin Special, and Steve Martin’s Best Show Ever will all be available Sept. 18 in convenient disc form.

Yes, dad, it’s true, you won’t have to spend hours scouring YouTube for that lost Steve Martin sketch any longer! There’s also an Homage To Steve, and his Oscar nominated short film, The Absent-Minded Waiter and his full documented stand-up performance at the L.A.’s Universal Amphitheater. Those are going to be some thick DVDs!

And there’s more. Shout! and SOFA are developing special bonus content for Martin’s new home entertainment collection, which they collaborated on with Martin. “I am thrilled that so much of my rarely seen shows will be offered to the public. I am told that these television appearances, concerts and bonus material, are among the best work of my career. I am told this by people I pay,” Martin commented.

To properly prep you, here’s a clip from Martin’s performance at the L.A. Universal Amphitheater.
