NBC’s really switching it up next season. In addition to Dan Harmon losing his job as showrunner of Community, Betsy Thomas has just been sacked/she stepped down (it’s unclear) as showrunner for Whitney. Replacing her is Wil Calhoun, who used to work on Friends. This isn’t going to cause as much of a stir as Harmon’s ousting— because while Whitney‘s ratings were always stronger than Community‘s, its fanbase is nowhere near as rabid as Community‘s. In any case, Thomas has already signed on to co-executive produce NBC’s upcoming show Guys With Kids, centered around three new fathers and starring the likes of Anthony Anderson, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Tempestt Bledsoe. Let’s check out a preview, shall we?

Middle aged men in their thirty’s taking care of their
almost new born baby’s should make for a fantastic comedy skit that I cant wait
to see. I love to watch prime time shows like this one, so that’s the reason
why I bought the Hopper from Dish. I will have every episode of “Guys with
Kids” recorded on my DVR automatically for me. My Dish co-worker told me
that the Hoppers PrimeTime Anytime feature automatically recorded all of my
prime time shows that come on CBS, NBC, FOX and ABC everyday in HD. This really
makes it easy for me to enjoy watching new TV series that come out that I
normally would have missed! Now that I have the Hopper I like using its Auto
Hop feature that gives me a choice to skip my recorded commercials.
