It looks like Dane Cook’s upcoming NBC sitcom is already going through some personnel changes. Actor Wolé Parks was recently dropped from Next Caller, which is set to debut midseason. Producers cite a “creative decision” for the casting change, TVLine reports.

In the single-camera sitcom, Cook stars as a somewhat sexist satellite radio DJ who’s stuck with a new lady co-host (played by Collette Wolfe). Parks, whose previous credits include appearances on As the World Turns and Law & Order, was slated to portray Keith Calhoun, an employee at the radio station. Cast changes in the months between a pilot being picked up and the beginning of production aren’t unusual, as the producers figure out what works best for the show. No word yet on whether Parks’ character will be recast or eliminated altogether.
