Kevin James stars in the upcoming film Here Comes The Boom, set to be released in Oct. 12. The former King of Queens star plays a 42 year-old biology teacher at an underprivileged high school facing large budget cutbacks– so….. naturally, he decides to train as a mixed martial arts fighter, land a big fight and earn the money to save the school’s music department (headed by Henry Winkler!). Also, Salma Hayek is in this movie. We’ve got the trailer below:
What do you think? Personally, I think James has the potential to be a perfectly decent comedic lead actor, but Here Comes The Boom looks like it might just be the next in a series of poorly chosen roles. But, I DO also think Henry Winkler is wonderful!
